WELFARE ACTIVITIES

SOCIAL WELFARE awareness and work is an integral part of the philosophy and activities of All Saints'. Special emphasis is laid on personality development, character training and ethical behavior through recognition and acclaim of individual and group responsibilities, bonds of support and loyalty to National causes and goals as a prelude to realisation of our duties to humanity, notably for the environment, for health matters related to climate change and global warming, concern for the environment, for the earth's flora and fauna, for the ailing, the aged, the handicapped, the destitute, of sharing privileges with the less fortunate but no less deserving and potentially talented children.

SOCIAL AWARENESS (Sadhbhavna Programmes) Gandhi Jayanti week in October, every year,includes visits to Village Panchayats, Rural Schools, Cleanliness drives in slum areas,De-addiction centres at Gandhi Bhawan, Central Jail and co-ordination of programmes with Arushi, an NGO working for people with special needs.These activities have great emotional impact on the students who invariably express the desire to maintain contact with the institutions and personal involvement with their future plans.

SHRAMDAAN by students is followed by tree plantation programmes.House-wise Poster and Essay Competitions,Debates and Photography exhibitions on themes relating to National issues are held and prizes awarded to the best entries from each House.

SCIENCE AND NATURE CLUBS are given practical application and purpose through seminars,excursions,projects which form part of the compulsory project assignments of the students.Environment protection and anti-pollution camps are conducted regularly.

HEALTH awareness and examination camps are organised from time to time.
